Here’s what our families are saying:

Jupiter Dance Academy provides a positive learning environment in which my daughters have thrived. Each instructor has lovingly instilled both a sense of discipline, and self-confidence in my children all while maintaining the integrity of a professional dance academy. I couldn’t imagine sending my children anywhere else! – M. Kaimakliotis

I wanted to take this opportunity to offer my heartfelt “thanks” for the past eleven years of professionalism and caring that my daughter has experienced while being a part of Jupiter Dance Academy. Competitions were always approached with integrity in the choice of performances and costumes, and have never been compromised due to changing “fads”, and for this, I am truly grateful. In a world when young people need direction it has been a joy to have dance be such an important part of our lives. It has helped my daughter become organized, dedicated, and motivated and that will stay with her forever. Jupiter Dance Academy, we thank you. It has been a great eleven years!! – N. Goodwin

. . . We wanted to thank you . . . for teaching our daughter. We couldn’t have picked a better ballet school for our daughter. Of all the schools I have visited before we registered for Jupiter Dance Academy, this is the far best in my eyes. The staff is very loving, caring, and patient. Thanks again for everything. – B. Hernandez

4 Things Every Parent Should Know
Before Choosing a Dance Studio

If most dance studios seem to have qualified, friendly teachers, experience teaching children and a big show at the end of the year, aren’t they all pretty much the same? Does it really matter which place you decide to enroll? Yes. There are 4 main things that can make a huge difference in the quality of instruction your child receives, the amount of extra work and hassles the parents must deal with and the overall enjoyment and satisfaction of being involved with a dance program. Here are 4 things that every parent should consider before deciding on a dance studio for their child.

1. WHAT TYPE OF DANCE FLOOR IS USED?

Dance is a very physical activity that can put stress on bones and joints. Most dance footwear does not provide any cushioning or support, so the shock of dance movement can place a lot of pressure on the knees and back of a dancer. The best way to prevent against potential injury is by choosing a studio with a professional “floating floor”. The floating floor is the “protective gear” for dancers on hard surfaces. Safety comes in the form of shock absorbing, closed cell foam blocks that suspend the floor.

All of our spacious dance studios are equipped with floating floors, full wall mirrors and observation windows.

2. WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE CLASS?

If the dance class has fewer students in it each child will receive more personalized attention, learn more and have more fun. With younger students it is easier for a teacher to maintain control over the class and make sure each student understands the concepts and instructions. Our smaller class sizes make sure that no fundamental concepts are being missed. A smaller class size also allows our teachers to ensure that students are not developing bad habits or improper technique. Our studio limits all regular classes to a maximum of just 12 students.

3. HOW MANY CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE?

You may select from more than 75 classes in over 10 disciplines. Classes convene 6 days a week for one hour each. We offer convenient options to have 2 or more students in different programs at the same time. Also, many classes run back to back so you will save trips and time running to the studio.

4. CAN I GET IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE?

In many studios the teacher or the studio owner conducts classes and does the administration. By trying to do two jobs at once, the class may suffer as the teacher ha to use class time for customer service issues, or the studio may have no customer service available if the teacher is in a class. To have a good experience, it is important to choose a studio that can assist you with details like schedules or costumes, even if a teacher is occupied in a class. Our studios have office staff on hand during all regular class times, so you can get immediate assistance.
